uh-oh, what not to do with dryer sheets

My friend Laura just told me this great new laundry tip that she discovered today.

When you are doing a load of laundry, it is NOT A GOOD THING if the box of fabric softener sheets (for the dryer) falls into the washing machine without you noticing it. I know there are probably going to be people who disagree with me, but I am speaking from firsthand experience.

You know how sometimes something made of paper or cardboard gets in to the wash (in someone’s pocket perhaps) and later on you find it, and you can still sort of figure out what it was? You might even be able to still read a word or two if something was written on it, or you can still see the washed out picture of whatever it was.

In this case… not so! There was not one shred of cardboard larger than the size of a pea. Mind you… there were MANY pea-size shreds of cardboard. But none larger than a pea. Oh, and about 40 dryer sheets with all their softening goodness washed out of them.

So… that’s my advice for the day. Take it or leave it. I just thought I would share. 🙂
