Alex’s horse won

Check out my derby links.

When Alex looked over the derby horses yesterday, he chose Street Sense to win.

One year, he picked Afleet Alex to win because they shared a name; in other years, he picked horses merely because of the color of the jockey’s silks.

I asked him how he picked Street Sense and he said he picked this horse because he had the best odds to win.

Hmm. What does my eight year old know about odds?

The favorite usually doesn’t win the Derby, but this year Street Sense proved ’em all wrong.

Entry filed under: churchill downs, horse racing, Kentucky Derby, kids, sports.
