Ok, my headline is sarcastic, very sarcastic. Todd called me this morning at 9 o’clock and wondered if we were having school today. I thought he was joking.

“Well the public school cancelled today because of the snow. I was wondering if you were cancelling too,” he said.

yard-after-snow.jpgI looked out the window and sure enough there was some snow on the ground, but I could still see the grass sticking up out of the fraction of an inch of snow.

I sent the boys outside. Math and reading would have to wait. If we did those first, there would be no snow to play in. Alex and Caleb shoveled the snow over to the fence and made what they could with the amount of snow they had to work with. They called their creation “Jackson snowman sitting on a little snow chair.”

We had snow last Satuday night and Sunday morning. I bet you boys would have loved it – 7 inches. And now, after a couple of warm days, it packs really good for making snowballs, forts, snowmen, and “Jackson snowman sitting on a snow chair.”

Did school resume for the day?

You can have all our snow – I am sick of it already… I am SO ready for warmer weather!

    I think
“Jackson sitting on a snow chair” is very impressive! Good job Alex and Caleb!
